Rabbi Professor Naftali Rothenberg
Rabbi Professor Naftali Rothenberg is the town Rabbi of Har Adar. He is the chair of Jewish Culture and Identity and the Editor of Identities: Journal for Jewish Culture & Identity at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute.
Rabbi Rothenberg is associate professor for Judaic Studies in Touro College, Jerusalem. He serves as a member of the Academic Committee of the Jerusalem Institute for Israel Research. His academic activities have included: member of the International Committee of Religion, Science & the Environment (1995-1998); member of the Academic Committee for the International Colloquium on Culture of Peace (2000-2003); and visiting scholarships and research affiliations in universities and institutions around the world.
His main fields of interest are the wisdom of love (between man and woman; human beings; man and God); Environmental Philosophy; Political Philosophy; Civic Education; Philosophy of Halakha; Culture of Peace.
He has published numerous articles on Philosophy, Jewish Thought, and Halakha and has authored and edited ten books, including:
