د. شلومو فيشر

يدرَس د. شلومو فيشر موضوع علم الاجتماع في جامعة تل أبيب وفي قسم التربية في الجامعة العبرية. وكان قد نال شهادة الدكتوراة في العام 2007 من الجامعة العبريّة في القدس. تشمل مجالات أبحاثه: الرابط الدينيّ، السياسة والمكانة في إسرائيل، الديانة المعاصرة وعلم الاجتماع التاريخي اليهودي. وكباحث زميل في معهد فان لير في القدس، فإنه يدر مجموعة بحث حول الدين والمكانة في إسرائيل والتي تسلط الضوء على علاقة الدين مع المطابقة الاجتماعية والمكانة الاجتماعية، وتفاعل الدين مع العوامل المادية. كما أنه يدير مشروع بحث دولي حول التجربة الشخصية وتثبيت الهوية في الديانة المعاصرة. هذا المشروع الذي ما زال في خطواته الأولى، يحاول تحدي الصورة التقليدية عن الدين المنبعث والسياسي المعاصر من خلال إظهار أن حركات كهذه تندمج، أو تستند إلى أفكار ثقافية ومقدمات منطقية حديثة.

عمل فيشر في مجال التدريس في السنوات الـ25 الماضية. وفي السنوات العشر الأخيرة عمل في مجال الدين، الديمقراطيّة والتسامح. منذ العام 1996 وحتى العام 2007 أسّس وأدار جمعية "يسودوت" - مركز للتوراة والديمقراطيّة والذي يعمل على دفع التربية للديمقراطيّة في المدارس الدينية الرسميّة في إسرائيل، كما أنّه كان من مؤسّسي – وما زال عضو إدارة المدرسة الصيفية الدولية للدين والحياة العامة (International Summer School for Religion and Public Life) والقائمة في بوسطن، الولايات المتحدة. د. شلومو فيشر هو خرّيج مدرسة مندل للقيادة التربوية في القدس.
