About Van Leer Institute Press

Van Leer Institute Press, the academic publishing arm of the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute, publishes books of critical theory and contemporary thought on politics, society, culture, gender, and economics. The Press also publishes four journals: Theory and Criticism (in Hebrew), Identities (in Hebrew), Journal of Levantine Studies, and Contributions to the History of Ideas. Other publications include research, policy and position papers on gender, education, economics, and privatization, all of them the products of research conducted at the Institute. All manuscripts are assessed by the scientific editorial board and undergo double-blind peer review.
