Manar Hassan's New Book on the Palestinian City on the Eve of the Nakba and on the Place of Women / Hedva Isachar, Zo Haderekh 20/3/2018 (Hebrew)

This book by Dr. Manar Hassan, a feminist sociologist in the gender studies program at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, is a very important one. It is important because it brings back from oblivion the Palestinian urban life that was destroyed in the Nakba of 1948, and shatters a widespread, false myth that Palestinian society was a peasant society, and was exposed to modernization thanks to Zionism after the establishment of the State.
