The Van Leer Jerusalem Institute has recently initiated a fascinating series on the relevance and the connection of the Talmud – the second most studied book of Judaism after the Bible – to issues that arise in Israel today, such as the attitude towards people with disabilities. The Institute's Director Prof. Gabriel Motzkin also explains why the Humanities must not be allowed to die, what makes them so important and how they can be an asset to the world of business and economics too.
