An overwhelming majority of the Jewish students who study Arabic do so out of a desire to integrate into the Intelligence Corps and to secure intelligence positions. In the current political climate, this may be a national educational mission: for everyone to have a command of the Arabic language and Arab culture; achieving peace and dialogue is precisely what motivates this.
