Following the liberation of man in the 18th century, leading thinkers of the Enlightenment resolved to try God for the Evil in this world and for the theological prejudgment of man as a sinner. It seemed impossible to justify the existence of God in light of the great natural disasters and in light of the true human nature of rationality and freedom. However, following the great disasters caused by humanity during the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century, the question has become even more severe: How can Man be justified after the Evil he has caused in this world?
