Naomi Friedman-Sokuler

Naomi Friedman-Sokuler is pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. Her research is focused on the empirical estimation of the effect of the education system on social mobility, development and long-term economic outcomes for various groups in society. As a member of the Masar Institute for Education, she participates in the creation of alternative educational practices and knowledge for the Palestinian minority in Israel through the establishment of alternative schools, designing alternative teacher-training frameworks, and advocacy for equality in the governmental education system.
