Dr. Ronen Mandelkern is a faculty member in the School of Political Science, Government and International Relations in Tel Aviv University, and since 2007 has been a researcher in the state responsibility and the limits of privatization project at the Center for Social Justice and Democracy in memory of Yaacov Chazan in the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute. Mandelkern was a Fellow at the Polonsky Academy (2011-2016) and postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG) in Cologne (2010-2011). He studies the politics of economic liberalization and neoliberal economy and focuses on the influence of economists, economic theories and state institutes on macroeconomic and privatization policies in Israel and other countries.
