This study focuses on the relations between the local authorities in Majd al-Krum and the national authorities and describes the way in which the national authorities dictate planning in the village. The study documents and analyzes the organization and protest of the village's residents and the extent to which their protest succeeded. The choice of this village is not coincidental. Its population is representative in terms of size, composition, standard of living, and location—in the center of the Arab population in Galilee.
