The book aims to locate the engagement with Zionism within the global imperial matrix as it took shape at the end of the nineteenth century and to think reflexively about the meanings of such a move.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Among the topics that receive special attention in the book are language and historiography, political institutions, management of populations, and models of migration of knowledge.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The anthology\u00a0Zionism and Empires\u00a0is the outcome of the work of a research group that functioned at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute in 2010\u20132011.
