Born in Damascus in 1931, Tamer is known as one of the leading Syrian writers, and he is among the most important writers in Arabic of short stories and children\u2019s literature. Alon Fragman translated the story, the illustrations are by the artist and illustrator Roni Fahima, and the epilogue is by Shoham Smith.
