Galit Raz-Dror

Director of the Nisan Center for a Shared Society

Galit earned a BA summa cum laude in Communication and Sociology and an MA in the program for Conflict Research, Management and Resolution, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She worked at the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research (JIPR) for a decade, first as coordinator of the urban sustainability project and then as chief operating officer.

After leaving the JIPR she facilitated Israeli-Palestinian dialogue groups and developed projects concerning relations between the two peoples. After the October 7 events and the outbreak of war, Galit was involved in initiatives focusing on peace education and analyzing and influencing Jewish-Israeli public opinion, including Spiral of Hope and Teach Peace.

Galit has lived in Jerusalem for 20 years, is married to Ofer and the mother of four children, and is one of the leaders of the Forum of Ideas and Actions – Jerusalem Parents for Democratic-Liberal Education.
