The purpose of the website

The website is intended to provide information about VLJI's activities and to make them accessible to the general public. The website content should not be regarded as providing professional or academic advice in any field, and should not be relied upon for any purpose, or presented in any procedure of any kind as qualified and binding information.

Opinion articles or content appearing on the website express the authors' opinion, and unless expressly stated otherwise, they should not be regarded as representing an official position or policy of VLJI.

This website is not for commercial purposes.



The full copyright of all materials appearing on the website and the source code of the website ("the Website Content") belong to VLJI. No part of the website content may be copied, quoted, published, publicly displayed or provided to any third party without the prior written consent of the Institute.

Works the copyright owner of which has not been identified or located

The term "Work" used hereinafter refers to any content or information stored in visual, audio, or verbal media, including pictures, videos, drawings, charts and musical files.

VLJI does its best to locate the copyright owners of materials that are not original creations of the Institute, but there may be instances where despite these efforts, VLJI has not been unable to identify or locate the copyright owner of a particular Work. In such a case, the publication of the Work on the website is subject to the provisions of section 27A of the Copyright Law, 5747 - 2007. The copyright owner of the Work can contact the Institute via the following e-mail address Vanleer@vanleer.org.il, and request that the use of the Work be discontinued. Any such message must include the copyright owner's contact information.


As mentioned, the purpose of the website is to present information about VLJI's work and to provide a platform for publishing Works produced within the framework of VLJI's activities. There may be inaccuracies or errors in the information posted on the website. VLJI assumes no liability whatsoever for any damage that may be caused, directly or indirectly, to users of the site, in connection with its use, including liability for errors or omissions in its published materials or for technical malfunctions that occurred on the website or for damage caused by operating computer applications, malware infiltration, matching the materials on the site to the needs of users, etc.

Links to third party websites

From time to time, links will be uploaded to websites operated by third parties. VLJI has no control over the content of these websites, nor does it have any responsibility for their content.

The inclusion of a link to a third-party website should not be considered an expression of VLJI's consent or recommendation with respect to the content of such website.

Updating website content

VLJI will, from time to time and at its discretion, update the content of the website. VLJI does not warrant that certain content will continue to appear on the website and will not be obliged to provide any notice before any updates are made to the content of the website. In addition, VLJI reserves the right to discontinue the operation of the website at any time, at its discretion, or replace it with another website.


User Comments

Users who choose to upload comments to the website content (where enabled to do so), expressly undertake not to upload any comment which violates any lawful provision and without derogating from the foregoing does not include any of the following: material that infringes on the right of others, pornographic or sexually explicit material or any material of an offensive nature, any content that concerns minors and allows their identification, material that encourages, supports, assists or provides instructions for committing an act that constitutes a criminal offense under the laws of the State of Israel, defamation of a person, material that violates a person's privacy.

VLJI may, at any time and in its sole discretion, edit or delete any comment posted on the website in contravention of the above or any law, without derogating from any other legal remedy that the Institute may have against the user in such a case.

VLJI will consider any application at its discretion. VLJI will endeavor to take note of all inquires and suggestions, but will not be able to respond to all referrals and does not undertake to do so.


These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any lawsuit regarding the use of the website or these Terms and Conditions will be adjudicated by the competent courts in the city of Jerusalem
