Can artificial intelligence systems replace the Home Front Command? Would the alert be more focused, more precise, and clearer? And what about the logistical and emotional support that is tailored—on the basis of individual data—to each one of us? In this conversation Prof. Hagai Boas, the head of the Science, Technology, and Society Theme at the Institute, with Dr. Galit Wellner, of The Holon Institute of Technology, will discuss the opportunities and limitations of AI-based applications in emergency situations in general and in management of the home front in particular. Among the topics raised will be issues of responsibility, transparency, deviations, privacy, security, inequality, and human error in response to AI hallucinations.
