Workshop: Walter Benjamin and Hans Blumenberg | At the Institute

Sunday | 28.09.25 | 09:00 - 18:00

Workshop |

The workshop will examine the relationship between two important thinkers who greatly influenced philosophical discourse in the second half of the twentieth century, Walter Benjamin and Hans Blumenberg. Although there are many points of similarity regarding the themes they addressed and even the way they addressed these themes, it seems that the discussion of their thought has taken place in parallel lines, without addressing the connection between them. The workshop will seek to examine the conceptual relationship between them for the first time, and to see how examining the intellectual relations between these two thinkers can contribute to a better understanding of these two important philosophical projects.

The workshop will be held in English at the Spinoza Center at the Van Leer Institute.

Entry for invitees only.
