Duna Milhem

Coordinator of feminist knowledge distribution and director of community relations

Duna holds a BA in Sociology, Anthropology and Communication from Tel Aviv University, and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Sociology from the University of Cambridge, specializing in social marginalization. Her research focused on coping and resistance strategies by Palestinian women in the Israeli academic sphere, including how they carry a double burden: confronting discrimination and exclusion by the Israeli system on the one hand, and patriarchal power structures within Palestinian society on the other hand.
As coordinator of feminist knowledge distribution and director of community relations, Duna makes feminist research and theory accessible to diverse audiences, expands the circles engaged in questions of gender and society, and manages campaigns to create broad social impact. Duna comes from the village of Judeida-Makr in northern Israel and is a research fellow at the Woolf Institute at Cambridge University.
