Rabbi Yosef Nathan Miller is a graduate of the Hebron Yeshiva in Jerusalem. He served as the head of a kolel and as a Talmud teacher in yeshivas. Now he devotes his time to study and research in Halacha, Torah law, and Jewish philosophy in the modern era.
At the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute he directed and facilitated the project titled Ultra-Orthodox Concern about the Future of Israeli Society. Today he facilitates study-and-discussion programs for ultra-Orthodox groups with the aim of creating a Torah-based and halachic discourse that converses with the challenges of contemporary thought. Rabbi Miller is also a researcher at the Hartman Institute and an editor of religious texts.
