GRANT WRITER

The Strategy and Development Department drives the Institute's fundraising efforts, strategic planning, and international collaborations, ensuring its sustainability, expanding its global reach, and strengthening partnerships with donors and institutions worldwide.

The Grant Writer will play a key role in these efforts by crafting compelling proposals, identifying funding opportunities, and managing grant processes. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful research and initiatives that resonate within and beyond academia.

 

Job Description

Writing and Reporting: Prepare grant proposals and letters of intent. Collaborate with academic staff to compile reports. Track grants and reporting deadlines, ensuring high-quality and timely submissions.

Prospect Research: Identify potential donors and grant opportunities aligned with the annual work plan, including foundations, philanthropists, government grants, and calls for proposals.

Administration: Manage all administrative activities related to grants, including registrations, bureaucratic communication, and preparation and submission of organizational documents.

 

Position Details

Work Hours: 40% part-time position (2-4 days per week); 60% for 2-3 months onboarding period.

Direct Manager: Dr. Aviva Goller, Director of Strategy and Development

Location: The Van Leer Jerusalem Institute campus

Start Date: Immediate

 

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in articulating diverse research areas.
  • Excellent writing skills in English and fluent in Hebrew.
  • Experience in grant writing and fundraising is a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new platforms.
  • Administrative experience, with strong task prioritization skills and ability to work under pressure.
