The Maktoob Series of the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute is devoted to translating Arabic literature into Hebrew and offers deep familiarity with Arabic culture and the Middle East. The series consists of canonical works in Palestinian and Arab literature translated into Hebrew by means of a unique model of collaborative work of Jews and Arabs.

The event is taking place as part of the translation workshop that is a collaboration of Maktoob and Mishkenot Sha’ananim.
