Dr. Adam Klin-Oron

Adam is an anthropologist of religion. The topics of his studies include recreation habits in ultra-Orthodox society, the public discourse regarding new religious movements (cults), channeling among New Age adherents, and flat earth communities. At the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute, Adam’s work has included studies of the status of the humanities in Israel, utopias and dystopias, the memory of the Holocaust, and the idea of boycotts. Adam is one of the founders of the Intellectual Journeys: Young Intellectual Leadership program at the VLJI and served as its academic director. Today Adam heads the digital team and is in charge of the Institute’s social impact.
