Principles for Enacting a New Nonprofits Law

This position paper aims to promote the legislation of a new nonprofits law based on the worldviews and experience of Israel and other countries with regard to the place and role of Third-Sector organizations at the present time. The guiding principles for such legislation are encouragement of civil activity, an increase in transparency and accountability, and trustworthy representation to the public of each organization’s identity, aims, and type of activity.
