This collection of articles, the work of some of the finest Palestinian scholars in a variety of disciplines, presents in Hebrew the views of Palestinian academics on Palestinian society. Some of the articles reveal the dark shadow of the conflict, but in general the focus is on introspection and self-criticism. The topics cover a broad spectrum of topics, including the history of the development of Palestinian society, the peace process and democratization, the economy, the status of women, and poverty among Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
